Parla is a Spanish conversation-practice app for iPhone. You talk out loud with an AI tutor from one of twelve Spanish-speaking countries; it replies in that country's Spanish, shows an English translation, and underlines your grammar mistakes with an explanation for each.

If you're reporting a bug, it helps enormously to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the version of Parla you're running, and what you did just before it went wrong.

Common questions

Is my voice uploaded anywhere?

Each push-to-talk clip is sent through the developer's backend to OpenAI to be transcribed, then discarded. The app does not keep audio recordings, on the device or on the server.

The tutor is an AI — can it be wrong?

Yes. Replies, translations, and corrections come from AI models and can be wrong, unidiomatic, or miss a mistake. Treat them as practice, not as an authoritative reference.

Why did the app stop me for the day?

Parla includes a fixed number of tutor turns per day. The counter resets at midnight, local time.

How do I delete my data?

Settings › Delete Account removes your account and everything stored against it on the server, with no undo. Deleting the app removes everything on the device.
